Lake Pochard Lodges – Cotswold Water Park, South Cerney, Cotswolds, Gloucestershire

This waterside location in the heart of the Cotswolds is the ideal location for your fishing trip as they have a well stocked lake in an idyllic rural setting so you can relax and soak up the beautiful views while trying to land that catch.

The lodges are located on The Cotswold Water Park, which consists of 133 lakes covering an area of 40 square miles within Gloucestershire and Wiltshire countryside, north of Swindon and south of Cirencester.

Lake Pochard’s excellent water clarity allows a special weed to grow on the bed of the lake. This attracts large numbers of Pochard and Red Crested Pochard to feed. However they are just a small part of the wildlife that live on site. Kingfishers can also be seen flying around the lake, you may even be lucky enough to see one of the otters that have recently been introduced near-by.

Day tickets are available from 7am every day except Mondays from the on-site restaurant. The price is approx. £3.50 for residents (7am-dusk). The lake is heavily stocked with carp, roach, rudd and perch. There is also a limited number of tickets available on Lake Pochard itself, which is stocked with many specimen of carp – £10 per person (24 hour period).
